The Chevy Corvette was already one of the fastest coupes on the road, but Chevrolet made it even quicker by adding an electric motor. The all-new Chevy Corvette E-Ray is the first hybrid Corvette, and it’s coming soon to the new inventory at Ciocca Corvette of Atlantic City.
Performance
You won’t have any trouble staying ahead of traffic in Baltimore with the new Chevy Corvette E-Ray. This hybrid luxury sports car comes with a 6.2-liter pushrod V8 engine and an electric motor that combine to produce 655 horsepower. This setup enables the Corvette E-Ray to rocket from 0 to 60 in only 2.5 seconds. Since the V8 engine drives the back wheels and the electric motor runs the front wheels, the Corvette E-Ray has all-wheel drive. An EV-only Stealth mode can power the E-Ray at speeds of up to 45 mph for quieter operation during early-morning drives in Philadelphia.
The new Chevy Corvette E-Ray has precise steering and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes for athletic handling on curvy roads in Washington. Its standard adaptive suspension and sophisticated chassis give it a pillowy ride on pavement. Magnetic ride control and all-season tires further enhance the E-Ray’s driving dynamics.
Interior and Technology
Just like the regular Corvette, the new Chevy Corvette E-Ray is available as a two-seat coupe or convertible. Florida drivers will appreciate that even the coupe’s roof is removable for open-air driving. The Corvette E-Ray’s squared-off, leather-wrapped steering wheel and driver-focused cockpit further enhance its sporty ambiance. Standard tech features in the Corvette E-Ray include:
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- A 10-speaker Bose audio system
- Automatic high-beam headlights
