The Chevy Corvette Z06 and Chevy Camaro are both iconic, highly sought-after sports cars with legendary performance. Available in coupe or convertible, the Corvette is a driving enthusiast's dream, with razor-sharp handling and blistering acceleration. The Camaro also comes in coupe and convertible body styles, but it's not quite as powerful or athletic as the Corvette. At Ciocca Corvette of Atlantic City, we want you to fully enjoy your driving experience, so we created the following comparison to help with your choice.

Engine Power

The new Chevy Corvette Z06 comes with a naturally aspirated V8 engine generating 670 horsepower paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. With this powertrain, the Corvette Z06 can rocket from 0 to 60 mph just 2.6 seconds – enabling effortless passing on the Baltimore Beltway. The Chevy Camaro's most potent engine is a supercharged V8 making 650 horsepower. It takes 3.5 seconds for the Camaro to get to 60 mph from a standstill.

Ride and Handling

The Chevy Corvette Z06's mid-engine design, low center of gravity, and quick, well-weighted steering enable it to handle confidently on winding roads in Philadelphia. Its athletic driving dynamics make it a blast to take around corners. The Chevy Camaro also has sure-footed handling, but its higher stance and front-engine design make it not as well-balanced as the Corvette Z06. Both cars ride comfortably, although adding larger wheels can roughen the Camaro's ride quality.

Interior Quality

With the Chevy Corvette Z06, you'll enjoy lavish standard cabin materials such as genuine leather upholstery, real metal trim, and imitation suede. Washington drivers will like its fancy stitched headliner. Even the coupe has a removable roof panel that can be stored in the trunk when you want open-air driving. The Chevy Camaro comes with cloth upholstery, and there are lots of hard plastics that detract from the interior's elegance.

Cargo Space

The new Chevy Corvette Z06 has a surprising amount of cargo space for a two-seat sports car. Between its front and rear trunk, the Corvette Z06 has 12.6 cubic feet of room for our New York customers to store their golf clubs or luggage. The Chevy Camaro coupe offers only 9.1 cubic feet of space to stow cargo, while the convertible has just 7.3 cubic feet of room.

Infotainment Technology

You'll get all the latest technology with the new Chevy Corvette Z06 for a more connected and entertaining experience behind the wheel. Its new three-panel screen arrangement includes a 14-inch digital instrument display, a 12.7-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a 6.6-inch auxiliary display. Google Built-In allows you to control many functions with voice commands, so you don't have to look away from the road in Florida. The Chevy Camaro comes standard with an 8-inch digital gauge cluster and a 7-inch touchscreen, although an eight-inch infotainment display is available. It does not offer Google Built-In.

Safety

A fast sports car must also be safe, and the new Chevy Corvette Z06 is packed with standard and available advanced active safety features to protect Atlantic City drivers. Automated emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection is standard, along with lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist. A head-up display projects crucial information onto the windshield, making it easier to keep your eyes on the road ahead. The Chevy Camaro doesn’t include many standard safety features, though forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, and a head-up display are available in higher trims.
